Moving Target: A Princess Leia Adventure

Moving Target: A Princess Leia AdventureGoodreads Synopsis:    A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...

Reeling from their disastrous defeat on Hoth, the heroic freedom fighters of the REBEL ALLIANCE have scattered throughout space, pursued by the agents of the sinister GALACTIC EMPIRE.

One rebel task force protects PRINCESS LEIA, bearing her in secrecy from star to star. As the last survivor of Alderaan's House of Organa, Leia is a symbol of freedom, hunted by the Empire she has opposed for so long.

The struggle against Imperial tyranny has claimed many rebel lives. As the Empire closes in, Leia resolves to make a sacrifice of her own, lest the cause of freedom be extinguished from the galaxy....

My Thoughts:

-    This is one of those books that I don't have a lot to say about.

-    I liked it. It was a fun Princess Leia adventure.

-    I've never read a Star Wars book that takes place after Empire Strikes Back. Most of them happen after A New Hope, so it was nice to get a book in a different time frame.

-    It is always fun when Nien Nunb is on the scene.

-    I loved Leia's resolve to find Han at the end of the book.

The Weapon of a Jedi: A Luke Skywalker Adventure

The Weapon of a Jedi: A Luke Skywalker AdventureGoodreads Synopsis:    A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away....

Even as he flies alongside the pilots of Red Squadron, Luke feels stirrings in the mystical energy field known as the Force. And this farm boy turned fighter pilot begins to suspect his destiny lies along a different path....

My Thoughts:

-    I don't have a lot to say about this one.

-    It was good. I liked learning about how Luke learned to use his lightsaber.

-    It was fun.

-    I liked the C-3P0 was telling the story.

Smuggler's Run: A Han Solo and Chewbacca Adventure

Smuggler's Run: A Han Solo & Chewbacca AdventureGoodreads Synopsis:    It is a period of civil war. The heroic freedom fighters of the REBEL ALLIANCE have won their most important victory thus far with the destruction of the Empire's ultimate weapon, the DEATH STAR.

But the Rebellion has no time to savor its victory. The evil Galactic Empire has recognized the threat the rebels pose, and is now searching the galaxy for any and all information that will lead to the final destruction of the freedom fighters.

For the MILLENNIUM FALCON's crew, who saved the life of Luke Skywalker during the Battle of Yavin, their involvement with the rebels is at an end. Now HAN SOLO and CHEWBACCA hope to take their reward and settle some old debts....

My Thoughts:

-    The hardest reviews to write are the ones where you don't have anything to say about the book. This is one of those books.

-    It was a fun Han and Chewy adventure. That is all.

-    I did like that old man Han is telling the tale and reminiscing of his younger rebel days.

Star Wars: Chewbacca

27203292From Goodreads:    Known as the skilled co-pilot of the infamous Millennium Falcon, the legendary Wookiee warrior Chewbacca will star in his very own limited comic series! After the battle of Yavin, Chewbacca is on his own when he crash lands his ship on an Imperial occupied planet. Now stranded, Chewie finds himself caught in the middle of trying to return to the rebellion and helping a young and feisty girl in need. Writer Gerry Duggan (Deadpool, 1872, Hulk) and artist Phil Noto (Black Widow, X-23, Uncanny X-Force) bring us a never-before-seen tale of the heroic Wookiee we all know and love.

My Thoughts:

-    I really hope this series is better than the Lando and Princess Leia series. PLEASE!

-    I feel like we are missing some info on Chewy. What mission is he on? Why isn't Han with him?

-    I kinda like the little girl. She is spunky.

-    The artwork is great! I love Chewy's facial expressions.

-    The different alien species depicted throughout the book were awesome!

-    This was a pretty good first issue. We'll see how the rest go.

My Thoughts:

-    I didn't know Chewy was claustrophobic, but it makes sense.

-    Why is Chewy letting this girl call all the shots? He has more experience with fighting thugs.

-    I love Chewy in this series! His character really shines.

-    Ah! Cliffhanger!

-    Jaum looks like Mr. Freeze.

-    How did Chewy survive? They have to tell us! He is one tough wookie!

-    Soooooo Zarro can all of a sudden understand Chewy now?

-    Chewy is SO awesome! I'm really happy he got his own spin off series.

27970268From Goodreads:    RRRRrrrRAAAAHHHGHGGGG! Errf errrf errff AAAAANNNNG! GGGGGNNNNNaAaAaAaAaA!

My Thoughts:

-    Okay Goodreads! The first time was funny, the second time not so much.

-    This is a pretty fun series! It has great characters and lots of action. The story is simple, but it makes sense, and I'm really happy overall.

28396925Goodreads Synopsis:    Chewbacca & Zarro face their final challenge...the coming of the Empire! But No Wookiee, No Cry- they're up for it! This is one walking carpet who's not going to be stepped on!

My Thoughts:

-    Zarro is a quick thinker. She is a little Han in the making. No wonder Chewy likes her.

-    Great ending to a fun series! I love the last few pages!

-    This was a very satisfying series! Marvel did a great job with this one! I would definitely recommend it to all the Chewy fans out there.
