Ocean's 8

My Thoughts:

-    This was a really fun movie!

-    I loved the cast! Everyone was awesome! Sandra Bullock was amazing. Helena Bohnam Carter cracked me up! I've never seen Cate Blanchett play a role like this before, and she was fabulous.

-    There were a lot of similarities with Ocean's Eleven, but this was still its own movie.

-    The heist was so much fun to watch. I loved every moment.

-    I enjoyed seeing Richard Armitage, but I wish his character wasn't such a coward. He wasn't that attractive to me in this one. I prefer brooding Armitage.

Thor Ragnarok

My Thoughts:

-    I haven't been a big fan of the Thor movies thus far, but this one was entertaining.

-    I laughed a lot. There are a lot of little moments that are really funny.

-    I felt like I was watching an 80s movie. It was visually and musically very much an 80s movie. I really liked that aspect.

-    I'm not a fan of Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner. He drives me crazy! I want Edward Norton back!

-    Cate Blanchett's performance was perfect as usual. I loved her as Hela. I also appreciated that they modified her outfit to be more modest.

-    I had a few issues with Valkerie.

-    Stan Lee's cameo was AWESOME!!

-    I loved seeing Heimdall fight. I was really excited that we got to see him kick butt.

-    I felt like they spent too much time on the junk planet. I just wanted them to get to Asgard and fight!

-    I think my biggest complaint is I feel like they are turning Thor's character into a joke. They are making him lesser than what he really is. It bugs me.

-    I love that Dr. Strange made an appearance! Hooray!

Cinderella

My Thoughts:

-    This a very cute and charming movie, but it wasn't as amazing as I thought it would be.

-    I loved the twist on Sleeping Beauty that Maleficent brought to the screen, and I was hoping for a great twist on Cinderella, but I was disappointed. This was a pretty classic Cinderella story.

-    While charming, it was a bit corny. I was hoping this movie was for adults as well as children, but I felt it was geared more towards kids.

-    Since it was corny and nothing new, I kinda wish they had just done the Rogers and Hammerstein's version.

-    The whole movie was a feast for the eyes! The costumes, the sets, and everything was visually stunning.

-    The cast was perfect! I loved Lily James as Cinderella! She was perfect. The prince wasn't too shabby either. I love Helena Bonham Carter, but I wanted more of her!

-    It has always bugged me that Cinderella forgets she is nobility. She isn't a servant! She is a lady! It doesn't matter what her stepmother thought. I wish she had walked up the prince and said her name was Ella and she was lady of the house.

-    Ella put up with a lot. I agree that is good to always be kind, but you shouldn't let others push you around either.

-    The mice were cute, but again, a little corny.

-    I love how they used the song Lavender Blue. I remember that song from my childhood, and I've always loved it. They changed the lyrics a bit, but I stilled loved it.

How to Train Your Dragon 2

My Thoughts:

-    I loved the first movie, and I loved the second.

-    There is a part in the middle that made me sad (and a little mad), but it's okay. The movie recovers.

-    Toothless is a lot more playful in this one. I laughed a lot.

-    The animators did awesome with aging the different characters.

-    The story becomes a lot more complex, and I'm really excited for the 3rd movie!! I need to know what happens!

-    The music is really good (minus the bagpipes). I was tapping my foot a lot to the soundtrack.

-    Ruffnut is bit ridiculous. I rolled my eyes at most of her scenes. She is . . . ugh! There are no words.

-    The CG was really good. DreamWorks has stepped up their game! The environment looked nice, and there were some really awesome visual moments.

-    The voice actors were great! I loved them all!

-    I want a dragon!

Robin Hood

My Thoughts:

-    This was good! It wasn't as amazing as people were saying, but I still liked it.

-    There was a pretty risque scene with Prince John in the bedroom that I didn't appreciate. I probably would have bought the movie if that scene wasn't in it.

-    The acting was awesome! Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchett are amazing together!

-    Russell Crowe was extra hot in this movie. I like Russell Crowe, but he was never super gorgeous to me. This movie has changed that! "Ask me nicely" is right up there with "look back, look back at me." LOVE IT!

-    The story was really complex. I didn't know it was a Robin Hood prequel. I was confused at first, but the story gets explained on the way.

-    Action was cool and awesome! The violence didn't really bug me. The way Godfrey died was made me a squirm a little, but other than that it wasn't bad.

-    Mark Strong is an awesome villain. You just love to hate his characters. They are usually a tad creepy as well.

-    Cate Blanchett is my favorite Marion! She is so strong and lovely. I didn't understand or like her joining the battle in the end, but it was okay.

-    I didn't get the weird boys in the forest. I don't understand why they were there. They could have left them out of the movie.

-    Great movie! One of my favorite Robin Hood adaptations!
