Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald

My Thoughts:

-    I wouldn't call myself a Potterhead, but I'm a fan. I enjoy the wizarding  world.

-    I didn't have any problems with the movie. It was fun.

-    The story was great, and I was entertained the whole time.

-    I loved the cast! Everyone was perfect for their role. I especially love Jude Law as Dumbledore! Thank you to whoever made that cast call! I can't wait to see more Dumbledore in the next films.

-    The ending gives ya a lot to think about!

-    I love all the fantastic beasts. Niffler and the baby nifflers are my favorite! I got a big kick out of the giant cat too.

-    I wanted to share my favorite posts about the movie:

Chocolat

My Thoughts:

-    Suey wouldn't stop talking about this movie for several weeks. Jenni and I decided we had better watch it, so we got together and had a movie night!

-    It was good. It wasn't amazing, but it was good.

-    The story is basically like Footloose but with Chocolate.

-    There needed to be more Johnny Depp. His face is all over the cover and everything, and he wasn't in it very much. It took forever for him to be introduced!

-    The cast was perfect. Everyone was wonderful in their roles, especially Judi Dench. She is always amazing.

-    The story was very interesting. I liked the dynamic of the towns people and Vianne.

-    There was a lot to take away from this movie. There were a  lot of messages, and I think this movie will speak to a lot of different people.

-    Things to be aware of: there is a sex scene with a side boob, a lot of skin, and some humping. I don't recall any swearing or physical violence.

Into the Woods

My Thoughts:

-    This was a good adaptation of the play. I enjoyed it.

-    I usually only watch the first half of the play. Everything ends nice, and all the good songs are done. Plus the whole play is super long. I was glad they shortened the last half. They cut out quite a bit.

-    The cast did amazing! Everyone was perfect for their role. I didn't know Chris Pine and Emily Blunt could sing. Red Riding Hood is my favorite.

-    I laughed a lot. The humor seemed magnified in this movie. It was great.

-    I kinda wished they'd cast Bernadette Peters as the witch, but Meryl Streep did good.

-    Loved Johnny Depp as the wolf!

-    The music was great, the scenery was great, I'd recommend seeing it.

Dark Shadows

My Thoughts:

-    It wasn't as funny as I thought it would be.  There were a few moments that were pretty funny, but not a ton.  It was more drama than comedy.

-    There were some inappropriate bits in the movie.  Nothing too terrible, but there was a couple scenes and a few lines that were iffy.

-    It started out good, but the ending was disappointing.

-    Michelle Pfeiffer with a big ol gun was cool.

-    I wish there had been more Danny Elfman music.  They used a few 70s songs, and I would rather have more Elfman.

-    The werewolf thing at the end was lame.

-    I thought they could have done without a couple characters.  They really didn't add anything to the story.

-    I kinda wish they had gone into Victoria's history more or done more with David's story.  Then the drama part of the movie would have had more depth.

-    It was just a fun movie, there really wasn't a message or anything deep, it was just for fun.  I wish there had been more comedy.

-    Overall, I was a little disappointed.  It definitely wasn't Tim Burton's best movie, but it was ok.
