The Jungle Book

My Thoughts:

-    I loved this more than I thought I would! Great film! We rented it from RedBox, and I watched it twice before returning it the next day.

-    This movie is the perfect blend of paying tribute to the original Disney classic while creating something completely new and exciting.

-    I LOVED that they used some of the original music. The opening scene was awesome, and it just gave me chills.

-    I didn't think there would be any singing in this film, but I loved it when King Louie and Baloo busted out into song.

-    The CG is AMAZING! I can't believe how awesome this movie looks.

-    The cast was spot on perfect! I loved every single character. Each actor was perfect for their role.

-    Neel Sethi's performance was awesome! He is so talented for a little boy. He practically acted the whole movie in front of a giant green screen with green screen props. That is hard for a lot of seasoned actors. I'm really impressed.

-    My only complaint is that Bagheera made a lot of noise. A panther would never make that much noise walking around the jungle.

-    I wish the vultures had made an appearance in the film, but I'm not sure how they would have fit in. The movie is still good without them, but it would have been fun to see them.

-    Great movie! I'll probably buy this.

Hugo

My Thoughts:

-    I don't have a lot to say about this one.

-    It was good. I enjoyed the movie. I thought it was a decent adaptation of the book.

-    The actors were all great. I loved seeing Jude Law and Christopher Lee.

-    The movie was a little long, and I started getting tired towards the end. It is probably because I was watched this late at night and it just felt long.

-    So ya, I'd recommend the book and the movie. They are both very family friendly.

Ender's Game

My Thoughts:

-    The movie was a really condensed version of the story, but they fit a lot of the highlights in. Overall, I think the movie was a really good interpretation of the book.

-    I loved seeing the battles come to life on the big screen. The battle room was almost exactly how I pictured it, but bigger.

-    The cast was perfect! I loved seeing all the characters, especially Ender's squadron. All those young actors did fantastic. Harrison Ford was SO good as General Graff.

-    I saw this with my parents, and they were so intrigued that they want to read the book now, and I think that is a huge success for the movie.

-    It bugged me that they didn't call the enemy Buggers.

-    The movie focuses all on Ender, and it there isn't any of the political stuff with Valentine and Peter. I kinda liked that they left all the stuff out.

-    I'm hoping for an Ender's Shadow movie now, cause Bean is such an amazing character and his story is WAY more intriguing.

-    I still like the book better, but the movie was pretty good. I recommend seeing it!

Hubby's Thoughts:

-    I liked it overall. I thought they did a goo job putting a complex book into a condensed movie.

Iron Man 3

My Thoughts:

-    I have mixed feelings about this movie. It was good and bad.

-    Robert Downey Jr. was fabulous as usual. He is such a fine looking guy!

-    Tony had some hilarious moments. I found myself laughing a lot. His banter with the little boy was especially funny.

-    The end battle was a bit silly. Tony was in and out of his suits like they were going out of style! It was ridiculous! Why didn't he just stay in his suit!?!? It got annoying after a couple times.

-    Pepper at the end was cheesy. She went all kung fu all of a sudden, and it just didn't fit.

-    I don't know what is up with the Iron Man franchise. The first movie was awesome, but I've been a little disappointed with 2 and 3. I feel like Marvel has been taken in by Hollywood's allure, and they just want more explosions and cool CG. I want a good story line and awesome characters and the awesomeness that is Marvel!!

-    The very end was confusing. Is Tony going to continue to be Iron Man or not? What about Avengers 2? I was mad about some things at the end. I won't spoil anything, but the little firework show at the end made me mad!

-    The little clip at the end of the credits was funny! Dr. Banner makes a little appearance.

-    Overall, I liked the first one the best, but I liked this one better than 2.
