From Goodreads: Sakura was an average 4th-grader until the day she found the Clow, an enchanted book of magical Clow Cards. But the cards were missing Kerberos, the Creature of the Seal, emerged from the cover to warn that if the cards were not returned, they would come to life and do evil. Kerberos made Sakura a Cardcaptor, and their magical hunt for the cards began. The Cardcaptor manage spawned the hit anime and TV series shown on the Kids' WB network and Cartoon Network.
My Thoughts:
- Yukito and Sakura's dad look the same. Sometimes it is hard to tell them apart.

- I love that Toya calls his little sister the Monster.
- I enjoyed this volume a lot more than the first one. There was more content.
- I can't decide if Clow Reed is a bad guy or a good guy.

Goodreads Synopsis: Sakura Kinomoto was just an average 4th Grader--loved P.E., hated math--until one day, while looking through her father's library, Sakura found the Clow, an enchanted book designed to hold a set of magical Clow Cards. But when Sakura opened the book, it was empty. Talk about disasters Cerberos, the Creature of the Seal, emerged from the cover of the book and told Sakura the cards must be returned to the book. "If the cards aren't in the book, they come to life and do evil " Cerberos formed a contract with Sakura making her a Cardcaptor and together with Sakura's best friend, Tomoyo, they embark on a mystical journey to capture all the Clow Cards before the Cards can wreak chaos and destruction.
My Thoughts:
- I am not ok with teachers going out with students, especially 4th graders!! EW!! I can' believe Sakura's dad and mom had a teacher/student relationship too!
- This new guy, Syaoran, is weird! I'm still trying to figure out if he is gay or if there is something else about Yukito that hasn't been revealed yet.
- The illustrations still crack me up!
- That sword card is really cool! I want that one!
- I don't quite understand all the different outfits Sakura has to wear when she goes out to find a Clow Card, but they are hilarious!! I liked the one with kitty ears!

Goodreads Bit: From CLAMP comes the engaging tale of Sakura, an average 4th grade girl, who accidentally finds an enchanted book called The Clow in her father's library. The book once contained a set of magical Clow Cards, but they all escaped while the guardian of the book fell asleep. Now, Sakura is thrust into a mystical journey to capture all the Clow Cards before they wreak chaos and destruction.
My Thoughts:
- I remember watching a few episodes of this Anime when I was little, so I decided to pick up the Manga.
- The first book was lots of fun. I loved meeting the characters. Sakura is such a fun character.
- There are a lot of parts where I laughed. Some of the panels made me laugh out loud. The illustrations are a riot!
- Speaking of illustrations, I loved how Watery looked!
- This is definitely more of a girl Manga.
- I liked that Sakura caught 3 cards in this one volume. If it was one card per volume, this would be a long series!
- I'm so excited to read the rest of the series.
