I don't think I could come up with 10 books in any other category but fantasy.

I'm so surprised that a lot of people haven't even heard of or seen this series. The covers are beautiful and the story is enchanting.

Maria V. Snyder is one of my favorite authors. I love everything she writes. Everyone needs to read Poison Study!!

Lloyd Alexander should be as big as Tolkien and Lewis.

John Flanagan's stories are wonderful and unforgettable.

The Enchanted Forest Chronicles are some of my favorites. These books started my love for dragons.

Some people give these books a bad rap, but I like them a lot. It seems like people love them or hate them. There really isn't an in between.

This book should be more well known. It is wonderful!

Jessica Day George should be a better known Utah author. I'm always sad that her signing lines aren't as long as others. I love everything she writes!

This series was WAY better than I was expecting. There should be more buzz about these books.

  1. The Dealing with Dragons series were some of my favorites growing up! I loved them. Still do. :)
And AMEN to the Throne of Glass series! I actually didn't love the first book, but the second completely won me over and now I'm a die hard fan. Can't wait to read the third book!

  2. You have a really great list! I own the whole series by Lisa Mantchev, but I've never gotten around to reading the books. And I have to agree with you 100% on Poison Study - one of my favorites!

  3. That is a great list! I am re-reading Dealing with Dragons right now. I have to agree with you on most of those, if I haven't already read them they are waiting on the bookshelves. Though I didn't like Eyes Like Stars or Eragon for some reason.

  4. I remember listening to the audiobook for Dealing with Dragons a long time ago, and I only recently discovered what it was called.

  7. Completely agree that Lloyd Alexander should be rated as highly as Tolkien and Lewis! I haven't come across many people that have even heard of him...it's sad.
