  1. Great list! I would've loved to have read Animal Farm with a book club or something; I read it when I was in uni and never wrote a review for it but it was an absolutely intriguing read...

  2. I'm not going to lie, if I have to read Dickens I might freak. I'd be willing to read the others though. Animal Farm might make for a scary discussion. I vote we read it.

  3. This is a great list. I'd be willing to read most of these, especially Memoirs of a Geisha and The Phantom Tollbooth.

  4. Memoirs of a Geisha is FABULOUS!!! I read for a book club years ago... My husband has read The Power of Habit and says it is really good.

  5. I’ve read Animal Farm and The Chosen One. The Chosen One was great and I think that Carol Lynch Williams deals with serious issues in a good manner. I read Animal Farm so long ago that all I remember about it was that I thought it was interesting.

Great list and I love all the variety.

  6. I confess, I'm not a Dickens fan, but I love your other choices! Especially Phantom Tolbooth and Memoirs of the Geisha. Animal Farm would be a good discussion book, too, and I love the look of The One and Only Ivan, though I haven't read it before.

  10. Great list! The only one I've read is Phantom Tollbooth but I'll be reading Animal Farm with my son for his Battle of the Books.
