Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald

My Thoughts:

-    I wouldn't call myself a Potterhead, but I'm a fan. I enjoy the wizarding  world.

-    I didn't have any problems with the movie. It was fun.

-    The story was great, and I was entertained the whole time.

-    I loved the cast! Everyone was perfect for their role. I especially love Jude Law as Dumbledore! Thank you to whoever made that cast call! I can't wait to see more Dumbledore in the next films.

-    The ending gives ya a lot to think about!

-    I love all the fantastic beasts. Niffler and the baby nifflers are my favorite! I got a big kick out of the giant cat too.

-    I wanted to share my favorite posts about the movie:

Hugo

My Thoughts:

-    I don't have a lot to say about this one.

-    It was good. I enjoyed the movie. I thought it was a decent adaptation of the book.

-    The actors were all great. I loved seeing Jude Law and Christopher Lee.

-    The movie was a little long, and I started getting tired towards the end. It is probably because I was watched this late at night and it just felt long.

-    So ya, I'd recommend the book and the movie. They are both very family friendly.

Rise of the Guardians

My Thoughts:

-    I've seen a lot of people cosplay as Jack Frost, and if it is big in the geek world, I gotta check it out!

-    I loved how the creators remade classic childhood icons. Santa is Russian, The Easter Bunny is Australian, and I loved the Sandman and the Tooth Fairy. Each character was so fun!

-    If the Lorax and a Wookie had children, they'd be Santa's yetis.

-    Jack Frost was a fun character. I figured out "his center" pretty quick, so I don't understand why it took him so long.

-    The villain was awesome! Jude Law did an amazing job with that character.

-    All the voice actors did great! My favorite was Hugh Jackman as the Easter Bunny. It was fun to hear his original accent.

-    The homes of each guardian was amazing. They were so unique, different, and creative.

-    Some of the scenes were really beautiful. The CG was really well done.

-    This was a really cute movie, and it has something for everyone.

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows

My Thoughts:

-    I FINALLY saw this!!  I have been wanting to see this for a long time, and I finally got my chance.  I was not disappointed!

-    I really didn't like Rachel McAdams, I was really happy that she wasn't in very much of the movie. I won't lie, I was kinda happy about what happened to her.

-    The pony part made me laugh SO HARD!!  I didn't stop laughing for a long time after that scene.  It was hilarious!

-    The cinematography was trippy.  I think the should have cut down on it a bit.  Some of it was really cool, but they used the special slow down thingy way too much.

-    I loved the cast!  Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law are so good together as Holmes and Watson!

-    Moriarty had a scarier voice in the first movie.  I kinda wish he still had that voice.

-    The last scene made me laugh.

-    Sherlock's brother grossed me out!

-    The plot/story was really meticulous, and I'm going to have to watch this 5 more times to understand everything that happened.  I love movies like this though.  It has a lot of re-watch value, and I can pick up on new things each time.

Tyson's Thoughts:

-    That Rachel lady is like sour melk and gives me bad acid reflux and heartburn.

-    It was good.

Hubby's Thought:

-    Who doesn't like gypsies?

Sherlock Holmes

My Thoughts:

-    This movie was a newer and fresher Sherlock Holmes.  I loved it!!  It was exciting!

-    I LOVE Robert Downey Jr. as Holmes.  He cracks me up!

-    I thought Jude Law portrayed a really cool Watson.  I'm used to seeing an older pudgier Watson, and it was a nice change.

-    I don't like that everyone had an accent except Ms. Adler.  What is wrong with her?  Couldn't she pull off an English accent?

-    The action sequences were really good.  I loved how Holmes and Watson took down all the baddies.

-    It was hilarious how Holmes got destructive when he got bored.  He is just like a dog.  When an intelligent dog gets bored, he destroys your house.

-    It was good for me to watch this multiple times.  I caught on to a lot more and looked for different things.

-    I've heard a lot people say they didn't like this movie because it was dark.  I loved that aspect though.  It took place in Victorian England.  Things weren't all rainbows and sunshine.  I liked the the darkness and fear.  It added a lot to the urgency of solving the case.

-    I'm way excited to see the 2nd movie!!

-    Confession:  I have never read any of the Sherlock Holmes books.  I desperately want to though, and I think I'll pick a copy for myself sometime soon!
