Hidden

Hidden (Firelight, #3)From Goodreads:    Jacinda was supposed to bond with Cassian, the "prince" of their pride. But she resisted long before she fell in love with Will—a human and, worse, a hunter. When she ran away with Will, it ended in disaster, with Cassian's sister, Miram, captured. Weighed down by guilt, Jacinda knows she must rescue her to set things right. Yet to do so she will have to venture deep into the heart of enemy territory.

The only way Jacinda can reach Miram is by posing as a prisoner herself, though once she assumes that disguise, things quickly spiral out of her control. As she learns more about her captors, she realizes that even if Will and Cassian can carry out their part of the plan, there's no guarantee they'll all make it out alive. But what Jacinda never could have foreseen is that escaping would be only the beginning....

Loyalties are tested and sacrifices made in the explosive conclusion to Sophie Jordan's Firelight trilogy.

My Thoughts:

-    I wasn't a huge fan of this series, but I was intrigued enough to keep reading.  I made it to end, and I'm still not a huge fan.

-    How can Will kiss Jacinda when she is in dragon form?  That would be so weird and awkward to kiss a dragon.

-    There was WAY too much making out in this book.  I feel like a good chunk of the book is about Jacinda and Will making out with each other.  I got tired of it.

-    Deghan was cool.  I really liked how they brought him into the story.

-    Jancinda's character really bugs me.  I just want to slap the girl sometimes.  She is so whiny and needy and indecisive.

-    The beginning was kind of interesting and intense, but it all goes downhill after that.

-    Is there any way Cassian and Jacinda can brake their bond?  Are they just stuck like that forever?

-    I felt bad for Cassian.  Honestly, I think Jacinda should have ended up with him.  He was the bigger man.

-    I think this was a fitting end to the series, and I think people who like these books with enjoy this one, but they just weren't all that great to me.

  1. I seriously lost it after reading the second one of these. There is no way I'll finish this series. I'm impressed you stuck with it. :) Jacinda was so freaking needy! Argh!
