Top Ten Authors I Haven't Read, But Want To
This is another very fun prompt, but I feel guilty and a little overwhelmed at the ever growing TBR list. I'm a little embarrassed that I haven't read the books by most of these authors yet. Let me know which ones I should move up the priority list.
Garth Nix - I've been meaning to read Sabriel for a long long time, but it hasn't happened yet.
Robin Hobb - I know, as a fantasy fan I should know Hobb's work intimately, but I don't. I want to start with the Farseer Trilogy. Let me know if you think otherwise.
Nicola Yoon - I know her books are widely popular, but again, I haven't gotten to them.
Jaclyn Moriarty - I am a big Liane Moriarty fan, and I want to read her sisters' books as well, but I haven't picked up Jaclyn's books yet.
Brigid Kremmerer - I've heard so many good things about her books, and a few of them are on my TBR, but . . . ya know.
Emily R. King - She is another local author that I haven't supported. Gah! I need to read her books soon. I've been to an author event for her, and I still haven't read her books.
Stacey Lee - I want to read all of her books eventually.
My list could have been longer, but I was good and stopped at ten.
Thanks for stopping by!
Happy reading!
Angie Thomas is a great storyteller. I hope you enjoy her books and everyone else’s, too.

Thanks Lydia. I'm sure I will too.
DeleteHa, Liane Moriarty had a sister! Also a big fan. I will have to check her sister's work out too.
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
Elza Reads
Yes! She has two!
DeleteI'd like to read Jaclyn Moriarty's books too. So many great authors on your list today!
ReplyDeleteThanks Wendy! I've heard Jaclyn isn't as good as Liane, but I still want to read her stuff.
DeleteRobin Hobb is so outside of my comfort zone but I am intrigued by her work. Everyone seems to love it!
ReplyDeleteRight!? I need to read her stuff.
DeleteMy son really enjoyed Garth Nix. I have only heard of a few of these authors. Happy reading, when you get to them ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks Cindy! I wonder if my daughter would love Garth Nix as well.
DeleteGreat list - Naomi Novak could easily have made it to my list: her books sound right up my alley, but so far I've not read any! Angie Thomas is great though!
ReplyDeleteThis is my list of new authors I am excited to read soon!
Ya, I'm sure I will love Novak and Thomas, but there are just so many books to read!
DeleteYoon and Thomas are great authors. I hope you love them when you try them.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm sure I will.
DeleteI just read another Nicola Yoon while on vacation. So good.
ReplyDeleteI will get to her books soon! I need to.
DeleteLove & Gelato was great. And I highly recommend the Farseer series, but heads up Robin Hobb is TOUGH on her characters :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that! Thanks for the warning.
DeleteFitz goes through a LOT in that series but so good.
DeleteI loved Naomi Novik's Uprooted. :D
ReplyDeleteI've heard good things about all of her books.
DeleteNo Stacey Lee? Uh oh, you're missing out big time! She's one of my favorite YA hist-fic authors. My personal favorite of hers is THE DOWNSTAIRS GIRL, but all of hers are good. I hope you love her when you get to her.
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT (on a Wednesday)!
I know! Downstairs Girl is what I was going to read first.
DeleteI think Angie Thomas is the only author on this list whose work I've read. I do own a Stacey Lee book though! I just need to actually read it.
ReplyDeleteWe've all been there! Thanks for stopping by.
