Interstellar

My Thoughts:

-    Another movie that didn't live up to the hype.

-    I knew I shouldn't have watched this, but I was outvoted on movie night.

-    The robot made me laugh every time it moved around. Why didn't it just roll around all the time?

-    The cast was good. I liked Michael Caine. McConaughey looked super thin, almost sickly. Jenni said it was because of a previous role.

-    The majority of the movie was really slow and boring. It had its moments, but not enough of them.

-    The ending was cheesy and dumb. Wow! Humans are so amazing that we can save ourselves from extinction! Wahoo!

-    Thought above was sarcasm in case some of you didn't get that.

-    I liked the real interviews from people from a drought. That was cool.

-    I didn't find this as thought provoking as people led me to believe. It was slow and boring, and the ending was corny.

We Bought a Zoo

My Thoughts:

-    Suey said Jenni and I had to watch this movie, especially since we're animal lovers. She has been wanting us to watch this for a while, so on our movie night, we watched Chocolat AND this. It was a long but awesome movie night.

-    Despite Matt Damon, I liked it. It was cute, heart-warming, and fun.

-    I loved that little red head girl. She was SO adorable!

-    I want to buy a zoo!

-    The tiger broke my heart. He was in pain and super old. It was hard to see that.

-    The father/son relationship was frustrating. The kid needed a kick in the butt, and the dad was being too lax. I sort of liked how they resolved it, but it took way too long.

-    I liked Scarlett Johansson a lot. She did good, but she needs a new hair style.

-    I LOVED all the animals. Thinking about that bear taking a stroll through town still puts a smile on my face.

-    Overall, this is a great family friendly movie. If you have a tender heart, watch it with a tissue.

True Grit

My Thoughts:

-    I was disappointed. This movie was dumb!

-    Whoever edited this movie needs to be fired! The scene jumps were awful! It made the movie feel choppy, and the story didn't flow too smoothly. If I hadn't seen the original first, I would not have known what was going on and what the story was.

-    I could not understand most of what Jeff Bridges was saying! He mumbled a lot, and I can't understand hick talk anyway, so the mumbling made it worse.

-    Does Rooster ever stop talking? He never shut up! He just rambled on and on and on, and I feel like it didn't fit his character.

-    John Wayne was better. John Wayne was WAY better. He had the true true grit!

-    After the Texas ranger bit off his tongue, I couldn't understand him either! It was frustrating.

-    What is with the rope? How does it keep snakes away? They should have explained that.

-    Barry Pepper played Ned Pepper! ha ha ha! I got a kick out of that.

-    This one just wasn't as good as the old original.

-    I liked the Mattie in this one. She wasn't as annoying as the original. She did a good job, and I can't believe this was her first movie!

Hubby's Thought:

-    The snow in this movie is weird

Tyson's Thoughts:

-    Jeff Bridges is awesome!

-    Jeff Bridges is so full of grit that he's exploding with grit.
