Fiddler on the Roof

My Thoughts:

-    This is such a classic!

-    The music is the most memorable thing in this movie. I love all the songs.

-    Topol's portrayal of Tevye is brilliant! He makes this movie!

-    The movie is really long, and sometimes it is hard for me to watch the whole thing in one sitting. The first half is more entertaining than the second half.

-    I feel so bad for Tevye. Each daughter goes a little farther from tradition than the other, and it really tests Tevye and his beliefs. I like the way he can bend and adapt for his daughters' happiness.

-    The fiddler is a bit creepy, but I like how he pops up here and there symbolizing tradition.

-    I love the way Tevye speaks with God. It is like they are old friends.

-    The ending is a sad and somber one. The first time I watched this, I wasn't expecting the movie to take a bad turn of events like that.

-    A lot of the lines from Tevye and Golde are awesome! They are so witty and funny. It cracks me up.

-    Incredible music and dancing, awesome characters, and a great story! If you haven't watched this, you are missing out.
