Q&A

I'll ask the questions, you provide the answers.  Ready?

Do you like the book descriptions copied from

Goodreads, or do you prefer the blogger to write their

own synopsis of the book?

My Thoughts:

-    I've been thinking of writing my own synopsis for books on my blogs, but I don't know if it really matters to my readers.

-    I might have a hard time trying to describe the book without spoilers, but I'm kinda excited for the challenge.

  1. Goodreads is find for me. But, if you want to describe them yourself, go for it.

  2. I love when bloggers write their own summaries because it gives me a different take on the book. If I want the official publisher summary, I can easily find it on my own.

That said, I used to write all my own summaries, but have recently switched to mostly using the Goodreads ones. I've been getting a little behind writing reviews, and it becomes difficult to summarize a book the longer ago you've read it. My co-blogger, I believe, still writes all her own summaries.

  3. I don't care either way as long as it's short and sweet. I write my own mostly and it's sometimes quite the challenge. Have fun!

  4. I always write my own because I think it's fun. And kind of challenging, like Jenny said. But I never actually read the book summary on a book review. Like ever. So I say do whichever is easiest for you :)

  5. I skip the Goodreads copied ones. I like writing my own too and find it fun. Sometimes Goodreads has too much of a spoiler. I hate anything that hints at a spoiler.
