Q&A

I'll ask the questions, you provide the answers.  Ready?

How do you choose books in your book club?

My Thoughts:

-    I started a book club a few months ago, and I have a few new readers in the group.  Each month they come and I ask for suggestions, but since they don't really know what is out there, I am the one who usually pulls out some book options for the month, and we decide from my choices.  I feel like it is unfair for me to choose the book each month, so I was wondering how choosing books goes in other book clubs.

Your turn.  What are your thoughts on this question?

  1. We love using the the book club sets at both libraries so once a year (Mar/Apr usually) we'll make a master list of possibilities from the pile of book club sets, and then I'll email everyone that list and they vote for about five books. Then we read the winners!

    2. I was going to say the same thing as Suey because I happen to go to her book club. The book club sets work well for us.

  2. In my brief book club we each took turns picking the book for the month. That we were introduced to different genres.
