Top Ten Fifteen 21st Century Books I Think Will Become Classics
Very interesting prompt for today! Once I got going, I couldn't stop at ten. The list was much longer, and I was able to trim it down, but I couldn't leave any of these books off the list.
A Monster Calls was excellent. I cried my way through it!
ReplyDeleteMe too! It was such a raw and real story.
DeleteExcellent choices! I didn't do this challenge because I couldn't think of any books!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I feel the same about some prompts.
DeleteI couldn't even think of where to begin with this week's TTT, but you sure picked some good ones! I totally agree about The Hunger Games, Unbroken, The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, and The Night Circus. They're definitely some of my favorite reads. :D
ReplyDeleteThank you Lark! I just scrolled through my Goodreads read list by published date.
DeleteIt makes me so happy to see Between Shades of Gray here, I love that book. I also really love The Hunger Games and The Book Thief, which seem to be almost universally agreed on as future classics as either one or both have been on nearly everyone's lists this week.

I've noticed that Hunger Games and Book Thief were on a lot of lists as well. Thanks for stopping by.
DeleteOf course I still need to read The Book Thief and A Man Called Ove...going to look into some of the others you listed as well :)
ReplyDeleteThe Book Thief is one of the best books I've ever read! It is amazing! Ove is a amazing too. I hope you enjoy them.
DeleteHG, THE HELP, and THE BOOK THIEF are on my list today as well. I almost added UNBROKEN, but I went for THE BOYS IN THE BOAT instead (although I think both are classics-in-the-making). LIFE OF PI is also a good choice. Nice list!
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
I noticed our lists were very similar. You have great taste! Ha!
DeleteYes, we do!
DeleteBig Little Lies! I LOVE that book. Guernsey I can totally see as well. PI, Hunger games...
ReplyDeleteI love Liane Moriarty books. I hope a few of them become classics.
DeleteA few of these made my list too! I also had a hard time stopping at 10. There were so many books I wanted to include. I might make a second list.
ReplyDeleteDo it! I have a list and a half. There are so many great books that have "classic" potential.
